Formal Garden Bed

Formal Garden Bed

Staying true to the principles of formal design, the bed design is symmetrical. On each side are rows of evergreens that provide a year-round line of color and a structural framework. Plants are arranged in straight lines, repeated patterns and clusters, creating a sense of order and balance. The beds have a central anchor point of a black metal trellis with an evergreen vine climbing through and up it. The two walls of flowering yellow Esperanza are a grand backdrop in the summer.
